Zipcar

Zipcar’s goal was to launch its first online magazine called Ziptopia. I led the brand content development, generating ideas for 85% of the content, and building out the content strategy from scratch. I did this by rapidly developing a content team of 40+ freelance writers, photographers, and videographers from around the county.

This resulted in the development of 45+ stories per quarter, and the personal creation of 30 pieces of content in my first year, while successfully staying within budget and creating custom reports with quantitative analysis to optimize our content strategy. The articles and videos are examples of my work.

Downtown Project | Fueling Las Vegas Startups |

Zappos CEO, Tony Hsieh, isn't just about building successful businesses, but communities as well. In 2011, he announced that he would invest millions of his own wealth to revive a sprawl of land just north of the neon Vegas strip. Except he wouldn't be polishing up second-rate casinos and motels; he'd be creating a new center for innovation, fostering as many startups as he could pack into this city within a city. Today's startups, like Zappos and Zipcar before them, thrive on the community-based mentality instilled in Downtown Project. With daily events and mentoring programs, the Vegas startup community is able to bounce ideas off each other, improve their products, and learn new insights. Affordable and fun offices, ample coworking spaces, and a supportive community make Downtown Projects one of the biggest things in tech right now.
